An app that combines Spritz with the Wikipedia API to give you information on the go
WikiMins is an app that combines the speed reading technology of spritz with the Wikipedia API.
Spritzing presents reading content with the ORP located at the specific place where you’re already looking, allowing you to read without having to move your eyes. With this approach, reading becomes more efficient because Spritzing decreases time searching for the next word’s ORP.
Combined with the Wiki API this means that the plethora of information on wikipedia can be accessed on the go and consumed at a much greater rate than the traditional wikipedia app.
I first started to write the app using Ember but then realised that that was overkill for this particular project so went back and stripped the App right down to the basics. Its written in HTML and JS and is published to the app store using Apache Cordova.
